Why do I feel like I have a UTI all the time?

Urinary tract infections are common and require the findings of a positive urine culture to establish the diagnosis. If you have symptoms of a bladder infection that will not resolve your first step is to determine if your symptoms are actually caused by a bladder infection by asking your provider to do a urine culture. If your culture is negative and you have symptoms of persistent bladder or urethral pain this is a relatively common pain disorder called painful bladder syndrome. A careful evaluation is required to rule out other possibilities. A simple history and careful examination by a pelvic floor specialist will quickly establish the cause of your symptoms.
